Yep. Really was not a fan of Season 5, outside of Hardhome.

“IT HAPPENING ONE NIGHT’” designs (part 1)
Oh my god… Where to start. This was one of my all-time favorite Venture Bros. episodes, and I’m glad you all finally got a chance to watch it. I hope you liked it! I’ve got a lot to post for this one; more than usual. It’ll probably take about three posts. Let’s start things off with some Doom Factory people!
Recasting Warhol Superstars as the Legion of Doom is the best thing ever. Ill be putting my Warhol and super villain knowledge to use tonight on my Venture Bros podcast. 10pm eastern.
It’s not just that they did this mash-up, its how well they combined personas and roles to make this cast! Find out why I’m so happy about Gerard the Gorilla.

Also will be on iTunes @graphicpolicy radios station in the morning.
My college educational choices came in handy this week!
Podcasting live at 10PM!
Are the Wights a credible threat to Westeros as an army? We’ve seen them overwhelm vastly outnumbered forces in a fixed position, but what about fighting on an open field? We’ve no mention of them using tactics, formations, specialised units etc; wouldn’t cavalry charges and flaming arrows cut through them like sitting ducks, resilient or not?
Well, there’s a couple things:
1. Wights don’t die to almost all conventional weapons. So a cavalry charge, while it gives you mobility, doesn’t actually kill them.
2. Every single casualty becomes another enemy.
You mentioned how g.r.r.m likes to makes us fell guilty wanting to see the bad guy die a painful in your latest post about theon’s chapter. Tell me do you think the show downplays this as when joffery died audience reacted in cheats given the reaction videos?
Certainly, I think you’re right about Joffrey. The book turns that into something of a pathetic (in the original sense of having pathos) anticlimax, mediated by Sansa’s lack of feeling and Tyrion’s mixed emotions. The show didn’t do that anywhere near as much.
But I do think the show managed to change opinions on Jaime after the de-handing, and Theon after his extended torture.
Have you seen the trailer for GOT season 6 and if you have what did you think of it?
Just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in…
HI! how would you put in order each of seven kingdoms by size? and wealth? and population?
Already did this. Check my archive.
If Catelyn returns to Winterfell from White Harbor instead of joining Robb, does that materially change how/if Theon tries to take Winterfell?
Yes. I don’t think Catelyn would allow Rodrik to take all of Winterfell’s guards to Torrhen’s Square.
could the lannisters (pre-war of five kings) build a canal joining the unnamed river near casterly rock to the tumblestone on their own authority, or would they need the permission of the tullys first?
Depends on how the borders are structured and whether the Tumblestone’s source is in their territory. Regardless, they’d need some sort of deal with the Tullys to stop them blocking the river within the Riverlands.
What would a two handed Jaime really change? Since he gets to kings landing what problems could he have settled with a sword if he had wanted to? He still wouldn’t be present to champion for Cersei
I think it’s more how his attitude would have changed. I don’t think a two-handed Jaime would have been as prompted to rethink his life choices as OTL Jaime was.
In a GoT, why did the direwolves attack Tyrion when he returned to Winterfell? The wolves can sense betrayal, but Tyrion was only there to keep his promise to Jon and help Bran. He had no hostile intentions.
I think this is an artefact of the fact that GRRM originally intended for Tyrion to burn Winterfell.
