Maester Steven, would you agree with the idea that while the tragedy of the Dance of Dragons derives from two equally unworthy brats squabbling for the Iron Throne while their betters die in their service, much of the tragedy in the Blackfyre Rebellion derives from two equally worthy but very different claimants to the crown failing to reconcile their differences and thereby dividing the realm against itself?

I think that’s a very good formulation.
