I think it would have been judged the same as the Rains of Castamere.
If Tywin had been in charge of the search for Robert at Stony Sept and had indeed gone all “when your quarry goes to ground, leave no ground to go to”, would it have been regarded as OTT and heinous by his contemporaries?
