Re: Essos invading Westeros (or not): different Anon, but I just wanted to note that they essentially take the same position regarding Westeros as Italy and Spain took towards Asia, and Portugal took towards Africa. The cost/benefit analysis works out a lot better to treat them as mercantile outposts than as spaces waiting to be conquered.
