Unlikely. The way the text describes it, the Long Night was the first known encounter between these two groups.
Do you think that before the Long Night, the Others had made any previous attack on Westeros? I guess before the arrival of the numerous and easy to catch by surprise humans they couldn’t have enough wights to overwhelmingly attack.
