I’m confused about how marriage pacts, alliances and the unions themselves are recognized when they occur in the North/Iron Islands. How does the crown verify/justify these marriages when they don’t involve the Faith? Also, how does it work when A Northern Lord/Ironborn Lord marries a Lady from a Westerosi family that follows the Faith, as not all of them would be keen to allow Septons into their lives as Ned Stark did?
