Given that they’ve set up the main conflict in season 8 as between Jon (there are many people name Aegon. He isn’t one of them.) and Dany, why not have Jaime fulfill the valonqar prophecy in his final scene with Cersei and then be killed by Robert Strong, as a final monument to the glorious legacy of Lord Tywin Lannister?
