Doesn’t that cause problems with their timelines vs. the timelines of the other POVs?
Honestly, it’s just easier to go back and change their ages at the beginning.
Do you think the five year gap could have worked if GRRM had decided to just focus on Bran, Arya, and Sansa, the POV characters whose stories would work best with a five year time skip?
