I think Tywin would have felt compelled to, for the same dynastic reasons that he did in OTL. Planning-wise, he might have been a bit more careful, emphasizing the swing up from the Gold Road instead of trying to force the Fords.
Following on from the question about what would happen re: Bitterbridge negotiations if Hoster Tully was healthy and able, would Tywin even invade the Riverlands if he was up against an experienced and capable commander like Hoster? Would he and Cersei even enact Robert Baratheon’s assassination at that time?
