A bit off-topic but how on EARTH did Chevalier de Bayard hold a bridge against 200 men like dude holy shit look at that painting on Wikipedia I’m just ?!?!?!?!

I don’t know. My only guess is that the bridge was such a narrow bottleneck that only a few men at a time could engage him directly.
