Previous Post As a follow up to the question about sons, is there a similar idea to the number of daughters? Since in westeros women are marriage pawns, and there are only so many men they can reasonably marry, is one enough to cement a tie, and then sons all the rest of the way? Furthermore, is the ideal family one lord, one lady, one daughter, 2-3 sons?

Next Post Are the gold cloaks really believable in pseudo middle ages? Is there really a widespread tradition of having a dedicated city watch/city guard/police in our medieval history? And if there is, wasn’t it customary to have a military garrison defending the city? I’m fairly well versed in Carolingian culture and a bit in pre-renaissance France, but not as much as I’d like in military stuff, so I’m curious.
