If Robb Stark had been able to formalise his “Wolfguard” would it have been wiser to copy the Kingsguard ‘no wife, no lands, job for life’ policy, or retain the carrot-stick (“gaining royal favour/hostage to good behaviour”) model with lords’ eldest sons attending him?
