Well, pine trees will grow pretty much anywhere, so you might as well start with them since pine makes for the best masts. And pines can hit maturity in 30 years.
Would it be worth it to do extensive reforestation of the Iron Islands? What are some of the more suited species you could plant in that sort of environment? How long would meaningful restoration take?
