Well, Brynden backs up Edmure when he screws up the archery, unlike in the show. In the books, he only really gets pissed at Edmure the one time, when Edmure exceeds orders and screws up his and Robb’s plan.
How would you describe Brynden and Edmure’s relationship on the former’s end? I’ve heard people argue that Brynden undermines Edmure when he can and I’ve heard arguments that he’s merely handling areas that Edmure can’t and just being blunt about it. Do you think Brynden respects his nephew? Does he see him as a kid who’s in over his head? Or somewhere in the middle?
