A simple question on the Duskendale matter–would you agree with me that the story of the Darklyn and Hollard ambush sounds… slightly unlikely, and that the whole horrible debacle was likely set off by Aerys trying to settle the matter Tywin-style, so to speak, only without any planning or preparation, with the result that once it was over, poor Lord Darklyn found himself in a no-win hostage situation with no real way out, and only a vague idea of staying the course?
