In the Dance of the Dragons and the Blackfyre Rebellions minor nobility defying their liege lords in choosing which claimant to support seems very common; much less of that seems to have happened during Robert’s Rebellion or the War of the Five Kings. Any thoughts on why?

Less common? Jon Arryn, Robert Baratheon, and Hoster Tully had to make war on their own vassals.
