Does the Roman Republic influence Martin’s world building in Essos at all? Volantis? The Valyrian Freehold? If so, is there any influence of the fall of the Republic?

The Valyrian Freehold, absolutely. But much more so borrowing from Pompeii than the actual fall of the Republic.
