Previous Post We see a lot of repeated names in the Targaryen dynasty (Aegon, Viserys, Aemon, etc), but we never, as far as I can tell, see sons named directly after their fathers. This is definitely odd compared to actually medieval dynasties, yes? I feel like every English king and prince was either Edward, Henry or Richard. Martin doesn’t seem too concerned with being overly complicated and confusing when it comes to these things, so I was just wondering if you had any thoughts about that.

Next Post In the event of a lesser house rebelling against their Lord Paramount what does the King do? We know Tywin had to put down the Reyne/Tarbeck rebellion himself, but how far is to far? When does it fall to the king to intervene on behalf of a great house against their own vassals?
