How feasible would dragon-based paratroopers/rappelling commandos be? I’d imagine Balerion could have carried a lot of men on his back (if Vhagar and Ronnel Arryn are any indication), and it is easier to storm a tall castle from roof to ground rather than from ground to roof.

Eh, if you’ve already got the dragon, you might as well burn the castle, and that’s kind of how the Targaryens rolled.

The main issue to me is that I’m not sure the dragons would accept that many people on their backs at any given time.
