On a purely military level, yes. But neither the High Sparrow nor Kevan thought this was going to be settled on a purely military level – what’s going on is that the High Sparrow is daring the Crown to attack the Church and set off a religious civil war in the capitol, destroying its own legitimacy in the process at a time when Tommen’s legitimacy is extremely shaky to begin with.
Okay, last question regarding the Lannister numbers and then I’ll get out of your hair, but do you think the 3,000 or so men they still had left would have been enough to get the Faith Militant to release Cersei? It still doesn’t feel enough, but I also suppose it depends on how many of the Faith Militant were present in KL, though you’d think they’d have a substantial force ready before doing something as bold as arresting two queens.
