Do you think Ned Stark had good reason to suspect, pre Cersei’s confession, that Joffrey was a bastard born of incest? Also as I recall, he came to the conclusion that Joffrey was Jamie’s son just because of the blonde hair. I mean, yeah, the kids don’t have Robert’s darker coloring but Sansa and Robb both have the Tully look; no one ever accused Cat of unfaithfulness. I’m not ragging on GRRM w/r/t genetics just asking if Ned really could have expected support based on that evidence?

It wasn’t just the hair. It was also who was in the castle when Bran fell.
