To add to the second sons going down to Dorne to find a bride thing. It may also depend on the kind of guy. If the guy is a normal Westerosi kind of guy he’ll want to rule the lands he marries into so marrying a Blackmont/Fowler/Martell is a waste of time as that won’t happen better to stick north of the red mountains. But if he’s just a guy who wants to continue living in a nice castle and enjoy wealth Dorne isn’t a bad place to go especially as he can just feast and help make a kid or two.

I think that’s a fair point. If you don’t care about power or what the non-Dornish would think of you, you could lead a decent life.

OTHO, a Dornish ruling lady might not want you – probably more important to marry into a powerful Dornish house instead.
