Re: the Blackfyre strategy in the Fourth Rebellion, I wonder if they were trying to continue the ‘kill Targaryens’ strategy by forcing Aegon to face them with a hastily-prepared army. If, as happened, Aegon, Duncan, Jaehaerys, and Daeron all come out to face them, and the Targaryens lose … the Targaryens are in really bad shape if Aegon and all his sons are dead.
