That’s an interesting question. I’m not sure. It really depends on who’s in power after the second Battle for the Dawn and people have time to discuss landholding, how many Starks there are around, how powerful the Manderlys, Umbers, and Karstarks are (given that they’re the immediate neighbors), etc.
If (the Old Gods, R’hollor, the Seven, the Black Goat, the Drowned God, etc., willing) the Boltons are finally eliminated, how do you think the issue of the Bolton lands would be resolved? Would a living Stark brother or sister take over? Would parts be gifted to loyal lords like Manderly and Umber? Would Stannis’s men take some pieces? Would Mance’s wildlings and the new House Thenn repopulate it (if Alys doesn’t inherit Karhold)? Your thoughts would be appreciated!
