Do you have any idea what’s going on with Lady Dustin and Lady Hornwood? As the widows of dead lords they have no actual claim to Brrowton or Hornwood, so why has Lady Dustin been in control of Barrowton since the Rebellion Why is whoever marries Lady Hornwood important – why can Ramsay claim Lordship of Hornwood through her?

It’s a bit confusing. In the case of Barrowton, I think it’s that there are no Dustin relatives, and no other claimants strong enough to take on the Ryswells.

In the case of Lady Hornwood, I think it’s a widow’s use-right (i.e, the right to occupy the dead husband’s estate until death) combined with the lack of consensus at to the heir.
