I’m sorry, but I have to follow up. You say: “When it comes to the Warlocks, there is no there there, just endless layers of surface, all of it false and corruptive.” But the Undying give Dany genuine visions and prophesy. Most is hopelessly cryptic, but some are quite clear. They show her her Rhaegar contemplating his children and Aerys preparing to burn Kings Landing. They show her fAA Stannis and the Mummer’s Dragon. Visions that are not illusions. So how can it all be false?

Right, but those visions are interspersed with visions of the red door, of her son, of the wonderful wizards who’ll teach her the speech of dragons…and even the true dreams are meant to distract her from the fact that the Warlocks are feeding off her lifeforce. 

And Euron’s whole backstory is about him being a failed apprentice, so I don’t think he’s got the insight necessary.
