Endgame theories/fate of Davos?

My hope is that Davos brings Rickon home, pulls together the North to reinforce and resupply Winterfell (replicating his Storm’s End feat), makes his parting with Stannis on good terms, and returns home to find his wife and three sons safe, and becomes Edric Storm’s regent.
